Former Georgia standout Terrence Edwards had a few choice words for those taking exception to Miami head coach Mark Richt’s recent donation to his alma mater, the University of Miami.
Richt donated $1 million towards Miami’s new indoor practice facility, much to the chagrin of Bulldogs fans.
Edwards came to the defense of Richt on Twitter, referring to UGA fans that disapproved of Richt’s spending as “idiots.”
I hate to say this, but some UGA fans are just idiots. Sometime just shameful… WOW pic.twitter.com/0GqokmNYst

Edwards, Georgia’s all-time leading receiver, also responded “who are these ppl who can tell another man what he can or can’t do with his own money?!?! Get a life!” to one Twitter user.
Richt was fired as head coach by Georgia at the conclusion of the 2015 season and later accepted the same position for the Hurricanes.
