Although the two former UGA running backs were never teammates, that did not stop Todd Gurley and Isaiah Crowell from exchanging jerseys after the St. Louis Rams defeated the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Despite coming to UGA one-year apart from each other as highly-rated running back prospects, the two players are viewed differently by the UGA faithful.
Gurley has emerged as one of the top rookies in the NFL after a spectacular career at UGA. Crowell, however, may still be somewhat of a sore subject for Bulldogs’ fans. The former 5-star recruit never looked as dominant as many had expected at UGA, before being dismissed from the team after his freshman season.
