The SEC has announced an update for the “Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.”
CBS has elected to go with the 6-day option for the Nov. 12 set of games. The kickoff time for the Georgia-Auburn game will be announced after the Nov. 5 set of games.
Georgia is tied for fourth place in the SEC East following a loss to Florida in the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.” This Saturday, the Bulldogs have a tough test against the surprise team of the SEC, the Kentucky Wildcats, in Lexington, Ky.
Auburn has experienced a resurgence this year after a couple early losses that look much better in retrospect (Clemson, Texas A&M) than they did at the time. The Tigers are in the midst of a five-game winning streak that includes victories over LSU, Arkansas and Ole Miss. Another inter-divisional game, against Vanderbilt, is on the slate for the Tigers before they travel to Athens.
The Tigers have an opportunity to knot up the all-time series with a win on Nov. 12. As of now, Georgia leads with a 56-55-8 record.
