Tennessee’s last-second Hail Mary for a 34-31 win over Georgia Saturday was one of the most exhilarating moments of the season thus far.
Unless you’re a Georgia fan.
Tennessee QB Joshua Dobbs hit WR Jauan Jennings on a 43-yard Hail Mary pass as time expired in what turned from an expected 31-28 victory for Georgia to a 34-31 win for Tennessee. While the moment was celebrated by Volunteers everywhere, the Georgia radio play-by-play call might be the most depressing thing you’ll hear today.
Skip to the 7:30 mark of the call to hear the end of the game. Among other good quotes from the Bulldog announcers are “Flags have come out for excessive celebration but who cares at this point?” and “That was a kick in the gut and other parts of the anatomy.”
To no surprise, this is quite the contrast from the Tennessee play-by-play call.
