Mark Richt: “I’m 100 % convinced that UGA and Miami are on collision course for national championship”
Mark Richt had some Hall of Fame quotes in his final days with UGA’s football team.
Richt, who was fired by the Bulldogs but hired less than a week later at Miami, showed up for UGA’s awards banquet on Saturday night, per DawgNation’s Seth Emerson. After getting a standing ovation from the crowd, Richt wiped tears from his eyes and said this:
“I’m 100 percent convinced that the University of Georgia and the University of Miami are on a collision course for a national championship.”
The pro-UGA crowd showered Richt with applause again.
Last week in his final UGA team meeting before accepting the Miami job, Richt left the players with these famous last words: “Life is about people, not rings. Rings collect dust.”
MARK RICHT: "I'm convinced that the University of Georgia and Miami are on a collision course to play for a Nat'l Championship."
