UGA is on the rise in the official SEC Country Power Poll.
The Bulldogs moved into a tie for second place with LSU following a 48-6 win over Southern University on Saturday. UGA accumulated a total of 197 points and also received two first-place votes.
A strong showing against South Carolina coupled with a dominating performance on Saturday moved UGA up a spot from No. 3 in last week’s poll. The Bulldogs only trail No. 1 Ole Miss by 19 points, and will have a chance at surpassing the Rebels this week when they take on Alabama in Athens, Ga.
The Crimson Tide are tied for fourth with Texas A&M in the official SEC Country Power Poll, and recorded no first-place votes.
UGA was ranked No. 6 in this week’s Amway Coaches Poll and No. 8 in the AP Poll
