UGA opens as favorite against Georgia Tech in “Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate”
UGA is favored by 4.5 points over Georgia Tech in the teams’ annual rivalry game Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium, according to the opening lines from Vegas Insider.
The Bulldogs have not had the season many fans had hoped for, but a win Saturday and in the team’s bowl game would net them a 10-win season for the 10th time under coach Mark Richt.
UGA can earn redemption for last season’s 30-24 overtime home loss to Georgia Tech. Last year’s loss was only the Bulldogs’ second loss to the Yellow Jackets in Richt’s 14 seasons with the team.
Georgia Tech is 3-8, with losses in eight of its past nine games. The one win during the slump was an upset of then-undefeated Florida State.
