Georgia is off to a strong start in the 2027 class. The Dawgs currently sit with the No. 5 recruiting class in the country, but the signal caller spot in the class remains unknown. However, that could change soon.
According to DawgHQ’s Jeremy Johnson, four quarterback prospects stand out as names to watch as recruiting ramps up in the spring.
The 6-foot-4 signal caller from Hingham, Massachusetts originally committed to Michigan last August. On February 17th, he backed off his pledge and decided to reopen his recruitment. Before pledging to the Wolverines, he visited Georgia last June. Now, Georgia, Penn State, and Florida all battle for a top ten quarterback in the 2027 class. Bourque ranks as the No. 91 overall player and the No. 7 quarterback in the 2027 class.
Next, Ole Miss commit Keegan Croucher remains firmly on Georgia’s radar. The 6-foot-5 quarterback from Chattanooga, Tennessee committed to Ole Miss when Lane Kiffin was still the coach. Since then, Croucher has reaffirmed his commitment to the Rebels. Georgia and Kentucky continue to be the schools in communication with the four-star product. Croucher camped in Athens last summer and earned an offer after a very strong showing. Now we await where Croucher will take his official visits. Croucher ranks as the No. 143 overall player and the No. 14 quarterback in the 2027 class.
Four-star QB Davin Davidson recently trimmed his list down to eight schools and Georgia was included. The 6-foot-6 Florida native stays in regular contact with Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo since receiving his offer at the end of January. Georgia will battle Florida, Kentucky, Auburn and others for Davidson’s pledge. Davidson ranks as the No. 208 overall player and the No. 19 quarterback in the 2027 class.
Finally, Four-star QB Jamison Roberts has started to gain some steam to Georgia. The 6-foot-3 quarterback from Mobile, Alabama picked up an offer from the Dawgs last week. Since then, communication between Georgia and Roberts has heavily increased. Prior to the offer, Roberts released a top eight schools that didn’t include Georgia, but now the Dawgs sit firmly in the mix.
Roberts visited Georgia for their first Junior Day in January, and now his official visit schedule will play a huge role in his recruitment. At the moment, Oklahoma trends heavily in ON3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine. Roberts ranks as the No. 242 overall player and the No. 21 quarterback in the 2027 class.
Georgia’s options at quarterback for the 2027 cycle are appearing to become more clear. While the recruiting board remains ever changing, official visit season will add a lot of clarity as to who Georgia is pushing for to be their 2027 signal caller.
