Kentucky running back Benny Snell Jr. is not here for preseason rankings.
The sophomore back from Westerville, Ohio, posted a video Thursday of him setting a preseason rankings magazine on fire after discovering the Wildcats were ranked No. 71 in the country.
That’s a pretty strong response to a meaningless preseason magazine’s opinion of his Kentucky Wildcats. “That kind of fire — pun intended — could help Kentucky outperform those expectations on the field this season.”
Snell, a FWAA Freshman All-American in 2016, totaled 1,091 yards and 13 touchdowns on 5.9 yards per carry.
Kentucky opens its season at Southern Mississippi on Sept. 2 at 4 p.m. ET.
