Kentucky is down one 2017 defensive end commitment after one of its top targets rescinded his verbal commitment to the Wildcats on Wednesday.
James Hudson, the No. 11 strongside defensive end in the Class of 2017 according to 247Sports, announced he would reopen his recruitment. He said he still lists Kentucky among his schools of choice, but wanted to experience the full recruiting process.

The defensive end from Toledo, Ohio has also received interest from Alabama, as well as Big Ten powers Michigan and Michigan State.
Hudson’s decommitment leaves Kentucky with 11 commits in its 2017 recruiting class, only three of whom are defensive players.
