Did you see those “Color Rush” uniforms that the Seattle Seahawks were wearing during Thursday night’s game against the Los Angeles Rams? Most people did, because they were pretty hard to miss — bright green jerseys with bright green pants.
Former Kentucky quarterback Jared Lorenzen was one of many on Twitter to take notice. Only “Hefty Lefty” wasn’t poking fun, but rather making a comparison.
Lorenzen seemed to remember the uniform from somewhere — it looked quite similar to those of the Northern Kentucky River Monsters, the team from the Ultimate Indoor Football League who Lorenzen played two seasons for in 2011 and 2014.
So, Lorenzen took to Twitter to show the Seahawks — and perhaps even make a pitch to take over for Russell Wilson?

Lorenzen played four seasons at Kentucky (2000-03) before a brief stint in the NFL. He signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent, playing in New York from 2004-07, then played one season with the Indianapolis Colts in 2008.
Since then, Lorenzen has played in various indoor football leagues. However, he hasn’t played since his last stint with the River Monsters in 2014.
