Former Kentucky quarterback and New York Giants backup Jared Lorenzen does not believe Americans landed on the moon.
This revelation came in a light-hearted interview Friday with the Rich Eisen Show, where he also wondered whether Patriots QB Tom Brady’s recent thumb injury was legitimate.
But on the moon landing assertion, Lorenzen said a conspiracy theory show seen in college firmed up things in his mind.
“A lot of it was the footprints, how there’s no moisture up there but they made footprints,” Lorenzen said. “Where’s the blast crater from when they landed?”
Lorenzen also was asked whether he thought New England Patriots QB Tom Brady’s thumb injury that kept him from playing in Thursday’s preseason game was just a ruse to gauge the readiness of backup Jimmy Garoppolo when he had previously believed he would be working as a second-stringer. Ben Volin of The Boston Globe reports it was a legitimate injury, however, confirming it with Brady’s agent, Don Yee.
“I wouldn’t put it past the Patriots in the preseason — or the regular season for that matter,” Lorenzen said.
