You may know Marcus McClinton as one of the nation’s best hype men entering the fourth quarter.
But the former Kentucky football star also will be providing some entertainment and inspiration before Saturday’s game too.
The former free safety will be singing the national anthem before Saturday’s game against Georgia, which has become one of the biggest UK football games in recent memory.
McClinton played in Lexington from 2004-2008. He signed a free-agent contract with the New England Patriots in 2009 but was cut before training camp. This season, he has helped spark the Wildcats faithful with encouraging and energetic words entering the fourth quarter at home games.
In a 2010 story with Kentucky.com, McClinton said music is his passion and that football just paid the bills.
If you can’t wait until Saturday to see McClinton, here’s a video the UK Twitter account released on Friday morning.

My favorite moment of UK home games this season: Marcus McClinton screaming at UK fans after the third quarter. Always entertaining.
