LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky basketball will be full strength Sunday night for the Wildcats’ first exhibition game against Clarion. Redshirt freshman forward Tai Wynyard and sophomore center Isaac Humphries, who’ve been out with injuries, have returned to practice.
“Isaac just told me, ‘I’m 100 percent,’ ” coach John Calipari said Thursday. “So my guess is they’ll both play.”
Wynyard suffered a fracture on the left side of his face from an inadvertent elbow during the team’s televised practice on Oct. 9 and had been held out of practice and last week’s Blue-White scrimmage. Humphries also missed some practice and the scrimmage due to soreness in his right knee.
Both Calipari and Humphries said they were just being extra cautious with the 7-footer who is expected to be a major contributor this season.
