John Wall could not have had a better debut performance for the Washington Wizards in the 2017 NBA Playoffs.
The former Kentucky point guard had his way with the Atlanta Hawks in game 1, as he finished with a game-high 32 points and 14 assists in the Wizards 114-107 win.
Wall got to wherever he wanted on the court and had no problem craving up the Hawks defense. He went off in the third quarter, scoring 13 of his points in the quarter. The Wizards outscored the Hawks 38-28 in the quarter, which allowed them to pull away from the Hawks. The 32 points was a playoff career-high.
Needless to say, Twitter was in amazement of Wall’s third-quarter display.
john wall jumping over the entire hawks bench is a not so subtle metaphor for what's happening in this quarter

Of course, Wall wasn’t surprised by any of this as he demonstrated with his Jordan-esque shrug.

The first playoff game is a continuation of Wall’s strong regular season in which he had a career best in points, assists and led the NBA in steals. Wall returns to action on Wednesday when the Wizards take on the Hawks in game 2. The game tips at 7:30 p.m. ET and will air on NBATV.
