Karl-Anthony Towns was a no-doubt, unanimous NBA Rookie of the Year. He already picked up a ton of votes for the All-NBA teams, nearly cracking the third team as a rookie. It seems like the former Kentucky Wildcat has a bright future at the pro level.
Towns is quickly becoming a veteran and one of the old dogs in the NBA.
But nobody expected it to happen this quickly. Towns got old fast.
Towns shared some photos of himself on Snapchat on Friday showing just how old he has gotten. Or, at least how old makeup has made him look. The series of photos, shared by Dustin Tackett of College Spun, shows Towns undergoing makeup to age himself just a little bit.
It would appear Towns is aging himself some for some type of advertisement shoot or perhaps practical joke.
Several NBA players have joined Kyrie Irving for his series of Pepsi ads chronicling the journey of “Uncle Drew.” Irving and his friends get into makeup and play against unsuspecting street ballers to hilarious results. Other NBA stars have joined him. Of course, Irving could not be taping right now with his Cleveland Cavaliers still in the NBA Playoffs.
Towns, though, could be joining Irving’s team. Or at least he could be trying to get a look at what the aging process might look like for him.
