LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky’s streak of 1,031 consecutive games with a made 3-pointer was in question Saturday against Florida, but redshirt freshman guard Hamidou Diallo sank a deep shot from the corner with 8:10 left in the game.
Kentucky has now gone 1,032 consecutive games with a make from deep. It’s the longest 3-point streak in the nation followed by UNLV with 1,023.
Kentucky’s last game without a made 3-pointer was against Seton Hall on Nov. 26, 1988. Kentucky’s record is 797-234 since then.
The Wildcats were just 2 of 10 from 3-point range with less than five minutes to play against the Gators.
Kentucky came into the Florida game Saturday ranked 342nd in the country out of 350 teams with 89 makes from behind the arc.
