Kobi Simmons is down to his final three choices. The 2016 5-star combo guard from Alpharetta, Ga., is now considering Kentucky, Ohio State and UNLV after tossing several national powers to the wayside (including Kansas, North Carolina, Syracuse and Arizona).
Standing 6-foot-5, Simmons likely needs to bulk up his 170-pound frame, but he used an impressive vertical and quick three-point release to keep defenses guessing this spring and summer.
247Sports.com reports that Simmons (the No. 18 prospect in 2016) is leaning toward Kentucky and Ohio State over UNLV, with UK being the favorite.
Kentucky already has two commits for next year, but no guards, so Simmons has a chance to become coach John Calipari’s first big backcourt catch of 2016.
