Kentucky basketball grabs No. 1 spot in AP Top 25
After sitting on top of the basketball world almost all of last season, Kentucky is back at No. 1 this week.
The Associated Press bumped the Wildcats up from No. 2 after previous leader North Carolina fell at Northern Iowa on Saturday.
John Calipari’s squad is 4-0 thanks to a big win against Duke (now No. 6) in Chicago on Tuesday and a convincing victory against Wright State at home Friday night.
Fellow SEC teams Vanderbilt (No. 19), LSU (No. 22) and Texas A&M (No. 25) are also in the Top 25.
