Kentucky basketball led the nation in home attendance last season for the 19th time in the last 22 years.
The average home attendance at Rupp Arena last season was 23,461, according to national attendance figures released by the NCAA on Tuesday. Wildcats fans have placed Kentucky in the top-2 of attendance every year since Rupp Arena opened for the 1976-77 season.
Kentucky has averaged more than 23,000 fans per game at Rupp Arena in each of John Calipari’s eight seasons in Lexington.
The SEC had the third-highest college basketball attendance of the 32 Division 1 conferences.
