Kentucky coach John Calipari has discovered a possible solution for rising sophomore guard Isaiah Briscoe’s free-throw-shooting woes.
Calipari thinks Briscoe should shoot them underhanded like NBA Hall of Famer Rick Barry, who posted a career free-throw percentage of 89 percent in 14 seasons between the NBA and ABA.
With Rick Barry, maybe the best FT shooter ever. Shot underhand. Wonder if I can get Isaiah to shoot that way. pic.twitter.com/MlIm86xQjN

Briscoe shot 43 percent from the line in his freshman season, so it may be worth it to consider a change to his form.
Barry’s son, Canyon, is actually considering transferring to Florida and Ole Miss, among others, after three seasons at the College of Charleston. If it happens, the younger Barry could match up with Briscoe and the Wildcats next season.
Canyon, like his father, also shoots free throws underhanded. Maybe he and Briscoe could exchange tips during the pregame shootaround.
