What was once expected is now a reality. Ashton Hagans, the No. 1 recruit in the 2019 class, has reclassified to the Class of 2018, a move made known after the Kentucky commit posted a photo of himself in a graduation gown with diploma in hand.
Hagans will be with the Wildcats on Sunday, according to his father.
“So happy to see my dream of playing for Coach Cal and the BBN come true,” Hagans said. “To follow the footsteps of all the great point guards that came before me is truly a blessing.”

The only thing previously standing in his way was the completion of four online courses. The 5-star recruit de-committed from Georgia roughly four months ago after the future of former coach Mark Fox became uncertain.
Tyrese Maxey remains committed in Kentucky’s 2019 class.
