LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky’s Commonwealth Stadium might be full for the first time this season.
The stadium box office had 600 tickets left as of 4:20 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. game Saturday night against Georgia.
A crowd of 57,230 at the home opener against Southern Miss was the largest home crowd of the season for Kentucky. Saturday is leaning toward a sellout. Mark Stoops called on fans earlier in the week to show up and fill the stadium. A win would give Kentucky its sixth win and first bowl bid since 2010.
A win could also put Kentucky in a tie for first place in the SEC East if Florida loses to Arkansas. Athletic Director Mitch Barnhart said some fans are still in “wait and see” mode. Saturday’s attendance will say a lot.
