A member of the Kentucky football team is facing criminal charges after an arrest Friday morning.
William Collins, a walk-on fullback with the Wildcats, was charged with alcohol intoxication, criminal mischief, theft and fleeing and evading, according to WKYT.
WKYT references a police report that indicates Williams was carrying a parking meter on the sidewalk with another unidentified individual and the two fled when approached by a police officer. After requests from the officer to stop, Collins admitted to taking the parking meter because it was on the ground, the police report states.
Collins, a former linebacker, transferred to Kentucky in 2013 from the University of Pikeville and practiced with the team that same season. He also practiced with the team as a redshirt sophomore in 2014, according to his biography on the Kentucky athletics website.
