Wright becomes the fifth-best prospect in Kentucky’s 2017 class according to 247Sports. The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native is the fourth defensive end commit in the class. Joshua Paschal, a 4-star defensive end prospect, committed to the Cats last week.
Wright’s commitment is another example of the recruiting emphasis coach Mark Stoops and his staff have dedicated in Florida. He’s the seventh Florida prospect in the 2017 class.
Kentucky now has 21 commits and there’s not much more room left. Stoops said the class won’t reach 25 commitments.
