National Signing Day is now just one week away, and that means that kids and media members across the country are getting ready for the most exciting day of the college football offseason. Traditionally, Signing Day is when college football’s bluebloods reign supreme, regardless of how they performed the preceding season. One such team that does not fall in that category is Kentucky. Nevertheless, according to an ESPN press release, Kentucky will be one of just 16 schools across the country hosting the worldwide leader in sports on National Signing Day.
Analyst and former Georgia lineman Matt Stinchcomb will be heading up ESPN’s telecast from Lexington. Joining Kentucky in hosting ESPN will be schools like Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia and others. According to 247Sports, Mark Stoops’ Wildcats currently have the 24th-best class in the country, though they’ll hope to improve on that ranking next week.
