What a great message from Malik Monk to Big Blue Nation.
Kentucky’s season ended in heartbreaking fashion with a loss to North Carolina on Sunday in the South Region final. It was the type of result that’s thrilling for the victors and soul-crushing for those who come up short.
On Wednesday, Wildcats freshman guard Malik Monk took to Twitter to thank Kentucky fans for their support throughout the season. Check out his complete message below.
BBN, Thanks for the support all season long. It didn't end the way we wanted it to but you guys supported us the whole way!!??

It’s always great to see players and coaches reach out to fans in this way. Recently, Florida coach Mike White did the same after the Gators lost to South Carolina in the East Region final on Sunday.
Monk became a bright young star for Kentucky during the Wildcats’ 32-6 season. He averaged 19.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He had 21 points last Friday in a victory over UCLA in the Sweet 16. He totaled 12 against North Carolina.
It will be fun to follow Monk’s career in the future. It’s fair to say he provided Kentucky fans with lots of memories this season.
