Kentucky’s 2019 recruiting class has been heating up over the last couple of months. Since the start of May, the Wildcats have added five players to the group.
After Monday night’s commitment from Stone Mountain (Ga.) native Tra Wilkins, you can now increase that number by one. The 3-star linebacker announced that he had committed to the Wildcats via his Twitter account:

Despite only being listed as a 3-star prospect, Wilkins had several major schools looking to add him to their class. That list includes SEC powerhouses such as Alabama, Georgia and Auburn.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker is ranked as the No. 68 outside linebacker in the country, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. In addition, he’s the No. 973 overall player and No. 103 player from the state of Georgia.
The Wildcats now have a total of eight commitments for the 2019 class. The group ranks No. 48 in the country, and No. 11 in the SEC.
