Ole Miss’ Anthony Perez was cutting into the lane looking for the easy layup when Hawkins tried to deflect the pass from behind. Both players went down, with Hawkins grasping his left ankle area. He needed two teammates to help carry him off the floor.
Hawkins was then taken off the court in a wheelchair, according to SEC Network’s Jill Montgomery.
