Kentucky’s recruiting efforts received a big boost Thursday night.
Tyrell Ajian, a four-star athlete from Mansfield, Ohio, committed to the Wildcats, according to 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong.
“I just got the right vibe from Kentucky, felt like everything I was being told was true about them,” Ajian said, per Wiltfong. “I feel comfortable there.”
The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder holds a reported 15 scholarship offers, and chose Kentucky over the likes of Michigan, Michigan State and West Virginia, among others. Ajian is rated as the nation’s No. 17 athlete and the state of Ohio’s No. 11 player, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
He becomes the 12th member of Kentucky’s 2017 recruiting class, and the second four-star prospect, joining the likes of wide receiver JaVonte Robinson.
Update: On Thursday night, Ajian confirmed his commitment to Kentucky on Twitter.
