Kentucky continued its hot streak on the recruiting trail and bolstered its defensive line Saturday.
Junior college defensive tackle Phil Hoskins announced he has committed to the Wildcats.
“After a lot of thought and (talking) with my family, I would like to announce that I will be furthering my education and athletic career at the University of Kentucky,” Hoskins revealed in a statement on Twitter.
Hoskins recorded 25 tackles and four sacks at Highland Community College (Freeport, Ill.). He also received offers from Mississippi State, Baylor, Colorado, Iowa State, Oklahoma State and Syracuse, according to 247Sports.com.
Hoskins makes it 11 commitments for Mark Stoops’ in the Class of 2017. Kentucky’s class currently ranks 19th in the country and No. 5 in the SEC, according to 247Sports.com.
