LEXINGTON, Ky. — He’s got a sizable Ohio State tattoo on his throwing arm, but Kentucky might be in the lead to land one of the best uncommitted quarterbacks in the 2017 class.
Danny Clark was in Lexington over the weekend for Kentucky’s game against Vanderbilt after he decommitted from Ohio State two weeks ago. The Akron, Ohio native had been committed to the Buckeyes since after his freshman year of high school.
Clark, ranked the No. 17 pro-style quarterback according to Rivals.com, didn’t fit coach Urban Meyer’s system and Kentucky has seized its shot at bringing him in. And by the looks of it, the 6-foot-3, 230-pound prospect had a good visit and even better things to say about quarterbacks coach Darin Hinshaw.

Kentucky has one quarterback commit in its 2017 class: Lexington’s Walker Wood.
