LEXINGTON, Ky. — A nagging hamstring injury has held Kentucky WR Dorian Baker without a catch this season, but coach Mark Stoops said the junior is close to returning.
“He’s getting better,” Stoops said on his Wednesday teleconference. “He’s getting close. We thought we had him back a couple weeks ago and just kind of reaggravated it just a touch, but he’s been out there. He’s day to day.”
Baker has appeared in just one game as the hamstring has bothered him since the offseason.
He led the Wildcats receiving corps in 2015 with 55 catches and three touchdowns. He hauled in 19 catches as a freshman.
Kentucky faces Alabama at 7 p.m. Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
