Kentucky coach John Calipari had a wild Saturday: He was kicked out the Wildcats’ game against South Carolina, watched them win from afar and then went home to see several of his former players participate in the NBA’s All-Star Weekend festivities.
The most memorable Kentucky moment came when Karl-Anthony Towns drained a 3-pointer to win the skills challenge, and former Wildcats Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins and Devin Booker smothered him in celebration.

Calipari, who earlier this year said he wants 12 former Kentucky players in a future All-Star game, was pleased with the camaraderie.
“I get emotional seeing this,” he tweeted Sunday afternoon. “It’s about love, respect & admiration for one another. All wore same uni #UKBrotherhood.”
Three ex-Wildcats will participate in Sunday’s game: Cousins (Sacramento Kings), Davis (New Orleans Hornets) and John Wall (Washington Wizards). Tipoff is at 8:30 p.m. ET on TNT.
