LEXINGTON, Ky. – The secret to crashing an event: act like you belong. That’s exactly what young Christian Beauman did Saturday at a Mark Stoops press conference after the coach opened up Kentucky football practice to fans.
Beauman, along with brother Luke and dad Bryan, snuck into the huddle of reporters around Stoops. As the interview was winding down, Christian fired away: How important is it to have vocal leaders on your team?
Solid question that got a serious answer from the coach. But then Stoops busted him.
“Where’s your credentials?” he joked. “Don’t start busting my chops, kid.”
Points to the young man for confidence – and for resisting the urge to tell Stoops to “talk about” vocal leaders.
