E.J. Montgomery recently made the decision to commit to Kentucky. And now, it appears the 5-star power forward has made it official.
On Thursday, Montgomery posted a picture on Instagram of him and his family, all donning Wildcats gear, while he sat at a table with a pen and paper, appearing to officially sign his letter of intent to play at Kentucky.
Here’s a look at Montgomery’s Instagram post:
Montgomery is the No. 12 player in the Class of 2018, per the 247sports composite rankings. He chose Kentucky over Duke, which originally was the school many predicted that Montgomery would attend.
The Wildcats have the No. 2 class in the nation behind the Blue Devils. Montgomery, one of three 5-star recruits in the class, was the only Kentucky commit that hadn’t signed his letter of intent.
However, now it appears that Montgomery has done just that, so he can fully prepare for the next chapter of his career with the Wildcats.
Kentucky had yet to officially announce Montgomery’s signing as of Thursday evening.
