In both football and basketball, it’s the offseason so this gives athletes the opportunity to mix and mingle. And Karl-Anthony Towns took that chance with the one of the best quarterbacks in the game.
Towns, who just finished his second season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, posed for a picture with Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews of the Green Bay Packers, as well as the recently traded Paul George. Rogers posted the picture to his instagram account, with a number of hashtags including $3stripes #memberberries and #mustache.
Towns averaged 25 points per game and 12 rebounds per game this past year for Minnesota but the Timberwolves won just 29 games last season.
But with the off-season additions of Jimmy Butler and Jeff Teague, the Timberwolves figure to be competing for the playoffs in this coming season. And hoepfully for him, some of Rogers and Matthews’ championship pedigree rubs off on him.
