LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky is still without Lynn Bowden, its No. 1 signee in the 2017 class.
Bowden was the Kentucky’s top signee, and the No. 3 player in the state of Ohio. The 4-star recruit was pegged as a wide receiver, given his 6-foot-1, 185 pound frame.
But Bowden is still not on campus as practice begins Sunday, Kentucky coach Mark Stoops revealed to reporters at Kentucky’s media day. Stoops said it was due to an academic clearinghouse delay.
The Wildcats lost their top receiver from last year’s team when Jeff Badet transferred to Oklahoma. Kentucky opens its 2017 season on Sept. 2 against Southern Miss.
