One day after posting on Twitter that he wanted out of Phoenix, it seems that former Kentucky guard Eric Bledsoe’s time as a member of the Suns is over.
According to ESPN, Suns general manager Ryan McDonough has stated that Bledsoe “won’t be with us going forward.”
On Sunday, Bledsoe, a star at the University of Kentucky during the 2009-10 season, posted the following on Twitter:
I Dont wanna be here
— Eric Bledsoe (@EBled2) October 22, 2017
In a meeting on Monday, Bledsoe tried to explain to McDonough that the message was not about leaving the Suns.
“He said he was at a hair salon,” McDonough told reporters. “It wasn’t about the Suns or anything related to the Suns. He said he was at a hair salon with his girl and that he didn’t wanna be there anymore. I don’t believe that to be true. We thought about it and talked about it with [owner] Robert [Sarver] and my staff and Coach Triano and his staff and decided it’s what’s best for the organization.”
Bledsoe had been sent home from the Suns training facility earlier on Monday.
