It doesn’t appear as if Kentucky’s crowded backcourt next season has dissuaded Quade Green from returning to Lexington for another year.
According to Jerry Tipton of the Lexington Herald-Leader, Green is coming back. Tipton cited Green’s mother saying the guard had made his decision.
After exploring his options, Quade Green has decided to play for Kentucky next season, his mother said Monday. Green had been the subject of speculation about either entering his name in the NBA Draft or transferring.
Green will face an incredibly stout battle for playing time in the fall competing against newcomers such as 5-star guard Immanuel Quickley, 5-star wing Keldon Johnon and 4-star shooting guard Tyler Herro. Ashton Hagans is also trying to reclassify.
Green started 13 games last season for the Wildcats, averaging 9.3 points and 2.7 assists per game.
