It’s possible Kentucky could be nabbing an assistant coach from one of its biggest rivals.
According to Tyler Thompson of Kentucky Sports Radio, Lamar Thomas will leave his post as Louisville’s wide receivers coach to assume the same duty for coach Mark Stoops and the Wildcats.
Thomas would be filling the void left by Chad Scott, Kentucky’s former wide receivers coach who left the program to return to his alma mater, North Carolina.
Prior to being hired by Louisville in 2014, Thomas coached under Bobby Petrino at Western Kentucky in 2013. He has also coached at Hampton and was a three-sport athlete at Miami, where he played wide receiver.
