With De’Aaron Fox and Lonzo Ball set to take the court at the NBA Las Vegas Summer League, TNT decided to have a little fun to ignite the budding rivalry.
The TNT crew drew inspiration from “The Hangover” for this hysterical video.

In the clip, the former Kentucky point guard reminds the “Big Baller” who it was that sent Ball’s college career to the “Gone Fishin'” status. Fox guided the Wildcats to an 86-75 defeat of the Bruins in the Sweet 16 in March. Fox scored 39 points in that game.
Ball’s father, LaVar, has been outspoken in his belief about his son’s potential, claiming Lonzo will be a better player than Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors. He’s rubbed plenty of people the wrong way with his bravado, including Fox’s father, after he made this comment following UCLA’s loss to Kentucky.
“No one is going to take De’Aaron Fox over him because of one game,” Ball said. “It’s about your body of work, and people know what he can do.”
Ball was selected No. 2 overall by the Los Angeles Lakers, while Fox went fifth to the Sacramento Kings. in the 2017 NBA Draft in June.
Fox’s father fired back with some facts.
“[LaVar] can say what he wants to say,” Aaron Fox said. “I just tell him to go back and watch the film. That’s it. All that yap, yap, yapping, I don’t even got to respond to that. We played them twice. Twice his son got outplayed. I always tell [De’Aaron], let your game speak for it. You ain’t got to talk. You ain’t got to fuss.”
Now that Ball and Fox are in the same division in the NBA, it’ll be fascinating to see how their careers play out at the professional level.
