Two Kentucky players exit game following injuries
Mississippi State had no issues handling Kentucky Saturday night, and by the end of the third quarter, a group of Kentucky players were feeling the physical ramifications of the Wildcats’ matchup with the Bulldogs.
SEC Network sideline reporter Maria Taylor reported that sophomore wide receiver Garrett Johnson headed to the locker room to have an X-ray performed on his shoulder and senior tackle Jordan Swindle was having his knee examined.
Taylor added that sophomore running back Boom Williams struggled to make it over to the sidelines as he limped along the way. Earlier in the game, cornerback Kendall Randolph exited moments before halftime with an apparent ankle injury.
Update: Johnson’s X-rays came back negative, according to Jen Smith of the Lexington Herald-Leader.
