Former Kentucky guard Devin Booker forged a bond with a superfan and her family during his rookie season with the Phoenix Suns.
Booker became friendly with Jenna Warren, a 16-year-old Suns fan with down syndrome. Together, Booker and Warren will represent the Suns at the 2016 NBA Draft Lottery in New York next week. Booker went on Instagram last weekend to send Warren a personal invitation to the Big Apple.
Warren immediately responded with nothing but the utmost excitement.
So keep an eye out for Booker and his biggest fan next Tuesday night when the Suns learn their fate in the 2016 NBA Draft. The Suns finished with the league’s fourth-worst record and thus will have better odds than nine other teams in landing the No. 1 overall pick.
Phoenix also holds a second lottery pick after trading Markieff Morris to the Washington Wizards earlier this year.
