Kentucky has one of the most legendary histories in college basketball, with eight national championships and 2,256 wins achieved since the first season in 1903.
Some of the members of one of those national championship teams is in Lexington, Ky., this weekend to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its title run, and they were greeted back to the Kentucky campus by none other than coach John Calipari and the current Wildcats.

The 1977-78 Kentucky team went an astounding 30-2 overall and 16-2 in SEC play and ended its trek for the title with a 94-88 victory over Duke in the championship game. The Wildcats, who were led by Jack Givens, Rick Robey and Kyle Macy, will be honored on Saturday in Rupp Arena as Kentucky takes on Missouri.
