John Wall, one of the most dynamic and fun players in recent college basketball history, was inducted into the University of Kentucky Hall of Fame on Friday night. Though the current Washington Wizards star spent only one season in Lexington, Wall made a tremendous impact on a team that advanced to the Elite Eight, earning SEC Player of the Year and All-America status in 2010.

In particular, Wall singled out his mother for the incredible influence she has had on his life. By all accounts, there were few dry eyes in the house when Wall’s speech concluded.
