Coca-Cola has placed a spotlight on Kentucky basketball just in time for the NCAA Tournament.
On Tuesday night, Coca-Cola premiered a March Madness commercial featuring Kentucky fans. And yes, this one scores points for cuteness and creativity.
As you can see by watching below, some Wildcats fans watch a make-believe Kentucky-Kansas game until the power goes out. A short time later, they approach a Kansas fan to try to score access to a television.
Eventually, they win him over with — what else? — some Coca-Cola.
Kentucky opens play in the NCAA Tournament against Northern Kentucky on Friday night in Indianapolis as part of play in the South Region. The Wildcats are coming off an impressive showing in the SEC Tournament, where they claimed the title by beating Arkansas on Sunday. Kentucky is 29-5 overall.
Kentucky, a No. 2 seed, will be heavily favored against No. 15 Northern Kentucky. A victory in the first round would set up a matchup against the winner of Dayton-Wichita State on Sunday.
