Kentucky basketball is always going to be able to replace the talent on its roster as John Calipari’s team goes through the revolving door to the NBA. Talent is not the issue for his team.
Whether Kentucky can succeed on the court though and bring back a SEC title or a deep tournament run, that work is largely determined by how that talent gets channeled.
That work, like all work, begins in the offseason with offseason strength training.
This summer Kentucky’s basketball team has put the work in early — or late depending on your perspective. The team has taken to meting for early morning or late night workouts. The workouts seem very intense:
There is not a lot of basketball going on at these early morning workouts. This is more about adding strength to get through those tough February games.
Kentucky should have another very talented team that will challenge for the SEC title and national supremacy once again.
