It’s one of the coolest things in all of sports. A coach decides to reward a kid who works his tail off in practice with a scholarship.
Kentucky coach Mark Stoops did just that in front of the entire Kentucky team on Friday. The individual receiving the honor was wide receiver Charles Walker.
“This guy here, he has a great attitude everyday,” Stoops said. “He has toughness, he has discipline, pride. He does everything right everyday. And he deserves this honor.”
Never been more proud! This guy is so deserving! pic.twitter.com/YJlOFyIQMv

Walker was then mobbed and congratulated by his fellow Wildcats teammates. Walker played in all 12 games for the Wildcats last season and hauled in five catches for 61 yards. He also played on special teams for the Wildcats and returned three punts. He is a junior out of Louisville, Kent.
