LEXINGTON, Ky. — Malik Monk threw down a ferocious slam in Kentucky’s Blue-White game Friday night and Wenyen Gabriel tried his best to get out of his fellow freshman’s way.
It was the loudest the crowd of more than 16,000 got. Nearly everyone was on their feet, their heads tilted toward the new video board to catch a replay of the monstrous dunk.

It was the loudest two of the 26 points Monk tallied in the scrimmage.
Monk put the score in simple terms: “It was just open so I just went in, do what I do,” he said.
Here’s how teammates De’Aaron Fox and Dominique Hawkins described it. Gabriel didn’t have a chance to come out for interviews and defend himself.

And finally, the man who made Rupp Arena go wild.
